God Hears Our Prayers.
Bible study fellowship
Every week, the ladies visit the residents at a nursing home for bible study and fellowship. Over the years, we have seen some residents received salvation for their souls, while others are being strengthened in their faith.
We are prayerfully looking out for opportunities to serve and reach out to the residents with the good news hrough building personal relationships with them.
How it started…
One morning in the beginning of December 2014, The Holy Spirit gave me a vision while I was seeking Him. I saw a woman whom I had met and chatted briefly three months ago in a nursing home. during a field trip organised by my daughter's school.
And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God. And now send men to Joppa and bring one Simon who is called Peter…“
Past experiences with the Lord had taught me that when The Lord gives me visions and dreams, He is wanting me to act on them. After praying for guidance, I went out and bought some food and headed to the Home to visit Jo. I was not sure if she was well, but I knew The Lord wanted me to share His love with her.
We spoke for a while, and I quickly learnt that she is a believer, but was unable to attend church due to her physical limitations. She had been praying to The Lord to help her know Him more. God heard her prayers and sent me a vision to connect to her.
The Holy Spirit immediately led us to start the bible study group for those who would like to hear God's word but were unable to go to church. I felt the glory of The Lord all over me as I went to seek approval from the person in charge, who readily agreed to the request.
The fellowship started in the same month with two residents and we invited others to join us along the way. Two of our dear sisters had since gone to be with Jesus but He continued to bring in other brothers and sisters to receive the word and exhortation.
